French Defence Minister Gerard Longuet arrived in Tripoli on Friday.
During his three-day visit, Longuet will meet NTC chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil and Prime Minister Abderrahim Al-Kib. Discussions are expected to focus on Libyan-French military cooperation.
The French minister is to visit Misrata where the NTC will be meeting from Sunday to Tuesday. He is also scheduled to visit Benghazi.
