Tripoli, 21 July 2014:

The Ministry of Health has released figures detailing the casualties over the past week’s deadly airport clashes, up to and including Saturday. A total of 47 dead and 120 wounded have been received at hospitals in the capital and surrounding areas as a result of the fighting.

The casualties are as follows:

  • Abu Sleem Hospital: 5 dead, 33 wounded
  • Tripoli Central Hospital: 3 dead, 14 wounded
  • Sbea Hospital: 3 dead, 10 wounded
  • Al-Khadra Hospital: 1 dead, 3 wounded
  • Al-Zahra Hospital: 34 dead, 33 wounded
  • Zawia Hospital: 1 dead, 27 wounded

Fighting restarted at the airport yesterday killing at least five and wounding 20. The hostilities which have also caused million of dinars worth of damage began last Sunday.
