Libya’s state National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced yesterday that since it has lifted the state of force majeure last week, it has increased oil production from 560,000 barrels per day (bpd) to 860,000 bpd. It considers this a ‘‘relatively high volume of production’’ in such a short period of time.

It further stated that it is striving to increase production and return it to its normal rates of 1.2 million bpd within two weeks.
