‎The Attorney General’s Office announced today that the Attorney General discussed fuel distribution excesses and the fuel smuggling file, during a broad meeting last Tuesday (5 July) that included the head of the Brega Company, officials from the National Oil Corporation and the Director of the Tripoli Security‎ Directorate.

‎The meeting dealt with the inadequacy of distribution tools and the reasons for the lack of access to fuel to citizens.‎

‎The Attorney General stressed the need to adhere to the public interest, implement contracts and provide fuel without manipulation‎.

‎He confirmed that the prosecution of those involved in the smuggling of fuel will continue‎.

‎The Attorney General also confirmed an investigation has been opened into the allocation of millions of litres of fuel to people and private entities without legal justifications‎.
