The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation for Administrative Affairs and Maritime Transport, Wissam Al-Idrisi, received the Chargé d'affaires of the British Embassy in Libya, Ben Rawlings, at the Ministry’s Tripoli headquarters yesterday. Also present was Khaled Sweisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Air Transport.
The meeting focused on the Tripoli government’s plans to rehabilitate and reopen Tripoli International Airport, enabling the return of international airlines to the Libyan market.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Libya and the United Kingdom in the field of air transport and airport infrastructure development, as well as exploring development and investment opportunities in the ports and maritime sectors.
