Health Minister Mohamed Al-Ghouj visited the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply, and Logistics. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Africa Health ExCon ​​2026 exhibition and conference held in Cairo.

During the meeting he discussed with the Egyptian Authority's head ways to enhance cooperation in the areas of medical supplies, unified procurement of medicines and medical equipment, and the exchange of expertise in managing healthcare systems.

Localising production and strategic stocks
The Minister was briefed on the Egyptian experience in localising pharmaceutical industries and establishing strategic warehouses to secure medical supplies, thus supporting the readiness of the health sector.

Al-Ghouj emphasized Libya's keenness to benefit from the Egyptian experience in a way that contributes to developing health services and improving the efficiency of pharmaceutical supply.

Both sides agreed to continue coordination in the coming period to strengthen cooperation in the health sector.
