The Libyan Industry Union (LIU) reported that a delegation from leading Italian companies specializing in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment for tuna processing plants and the marine fishing industry met today at its Tripoli headquarters with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Marine Resources and representatives from several LIU departments for a preliminary working meeting.
The LIU said this step comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to expand international cooperation and transfer modern technologies to develop the private industrial sector in the field of fish product canning and marine fishing.
It added that the meeting represents a strategic starting point for building fruitful cooperation that serves the national economy and supports local fishermen and companies in achieving world-class production levels.
