, Libya’s largest bank, announced Wednesday the launch of its local currency (Libyan Dinar) cash withdrawal service using Visa cards.

The announcement came during its participation in the Libya International Exhibition for Electronic Payments and Digital Transformation (EPAIX 2026) on the opening day on Wednesday.

The announcement was made in the presence of the Governor of the , the Tripoli based Libyan Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and Trade, the Interior Minister and several officials and stakeholders in the financial technology sector.

Jumhouria Bank said this step underscores its commitment to keeping pace with the latest developments in the financial sector, providing innovative banking services that meet customer needs, and strengthening the transition towards a digital economy in Libya.
